The Sporty Lotus Elise

The Lotus Elise is not your average car, but not in the way you would think. It is significantly more compact than it looks in picture. If your looking for the fastest exotic you can buy, look elsewhere. This car is made with one purpose, to be fun to drive. It weighs slightly more than most motorcycles,which means it does not need a lot of power to be a good driving car. The Elise range varies from around 180 horsepower to 220 horsepower which still gets this zippy little car to upwards speeds of 150 miles per hour which is not unimpressive. But thats not really where the Elise shines. People buying the Elise want a sport car that is a lot of fun to drive, and that is what they get.

The Elise is a striking car to look at. It looks like what you would expect from a sports car. Nothing looks out of place on a very simple design. The front curves slightly around the edges giving it a very clean looking design. The back looks like most other Lotuses from the rear with the signature circular Lotus tail lights. Also the Elise has a rear spoiler that will improve aerodynamics of the car. Overall the exterior of the car is minimal and clean which is very nice to look at.

The interior is where things get interesting. The manual gearbox dominates the middle console which is then complimented by small controls for volume and a.c. control. The problem is that all of those controls don't look very nice. In my opinion, the interior is just not as nice as the exterior, which is a shame. In conclusion the Elise is great for people who wants a small sports car that is a lot of fun to drive.
