James Bond's Ride

There is a certain aura of elegance and poise about Aston Martins and the Aston Martin DB9 GT James Bond Edition is no exception. With only 150 of these ever made it was incredible that there was one of these outstanding pieces of machinery at the auto show. With its iconic and instantly recognizable grill, swan doors, and amazing rear end lights this was truly a beautiful sight to behold.

This beast of a car was created to celebrate the amazing relationship that Aston Martin and James Bond have had that has been going on for over 50 years since the first appearance of the DB5 in Goldfinger in 1964. The DB9 GT James Bond Edition is almost identical to the standard DB9. The only visual differences between them are all the James Bond themed additions such as the plaques on the door sills with the 007 badge. Also there is the 007 gun barrel logo on the central divider between the rear seats. Even though there aren’t many differences that you can see the performance is improved from the standard DB9. The engine is a V12 that has an improved power of 30 horsepower boosting the total up to a staggering 540 hp. This improves its time from 0 - 60 by .1 of a second bringing it down to a blindingly fast 4.5 seconds.

As you would expect from Aston Martin, the interior of the DB9 is comfortable and luxurious. Aston Martins are known for their luxury materials and the ones found on the DB9 are no exception with everything looking and feeling premium. Each interior is hand crafted by highly talented craftsmen. Each interior of every Aston Martin is the outstanding work of just one person. No two interiors are the same because every specialist has their own individual and unique sewing style. Also, the DB9 GT has large amounts of carbon fiber on the exterior making the body much lighter, which improves aerodynamics. In conclusion the Aston Martin DB9 GT James Bond Edition is truly an incredible car.
